Language in Social Interaction (LSI)

The series groups monographs and collected volumes dedicated to communication in a wide range of social contexts: media, business, professions, politics, international relations, diplomacy, healthcare, religion, etc. It invites studies incorporating insights from diverse branches of linguistics (e.g., sociolinguistics, conversational analysis, linguistic pragmatics, discourse analysis, social semiotics and texts linguistics), to illustrate processes of interaction operating within and across selected cultural domains. Of special interest are contributions informed by interdisciplinary approaches, drawing upon the ongoing exchange between the aforementioned areas of linguistic research and other academic disciplines, particularly – but not exclusively – the humanities and social sciences.
